HN Missionaries will be on campus 2-3 days per week as a witness to students and will use their gifts of pre-evangelization/evangelization to lead students to an encounter with Christ.

HN works with the school’s principal, campus ministry, and faculty to set up applications for students interested in joining the Student Missionary Discipleship Team.

HN Missionaries meet weekly with the school Student Missionary Discipleship team for prayer, fellowship, and training.

HN Missionaries hosts a formation retreat for the Student Missionary Discipleship Team to help them grow deeper in their relationship with Christ and to get them ready to be activated as disciples in their school community (2 school faculty are asked to be present).

HN Missionaries work with campus ministry to schedule weekly formation/evangelization nights in the school calendar that HN Missionaries will run, empower, and activate the Student Missionary Discipleship team.

HN Missionaries schedule, plan, host, and facilitate voluntary weekend retreats for students in their community.

After the students have experienced a Hard As Nails Encounter Retreat, weekly Arena Evangelization Events will be implemented in the school. These events will have music, Sacraments, testimonies, skits, positive and encouraging messages, etc. to help sustain and deepen the encounter the students had with Christ on the retreat.

HN Missionaries will offer discipleship groups during lunch periods or after school for students who wish to continue growing in their relationship with Christ.

HN Missionaries are Witnesses to the transformative love of Christ. They are living out their “great commissioning” call to serve Christ.

HN Missionaries are trained for 8 weeks by Hard As Nails Ministries in Invitation Evangelization, human formation, and living a Sacramental life. Invitation Evangelization is a trademark of Hard As Nails Ministries and is a lived experience in the “how-tos” of pre-evangelization, evangelization, and discipleship for missionaries.

All HN Missionaries go through an FBI/BCI background check as well as Virtus training and certification before they work with youth.

HN Missionaries…
- assist to support the Catholic Mission of the school.
-are not to take the place of the school’s campus ministry. They’re to be an encouraging and affirming presence to all students to support the activities of the campus ministers through HN You’re Amazing Missionary Discipleship.
- form and facilitate discipleship groups that do not interfere with student instruction. These groups will take place during lunch periods, free periods, or after school.
- will mentor Student Missionary Disciples as they get activated in the school.
- will craft, schedule, host, and implement voluntary retreats that work with the school’s calendar and that do not interfere with the school’s campus ministries events already planned.
- will invite students to participate in these voluntary retreats.
-will provide post-retreat experiences such as discipleship groups and weekly Arena Events to support student’s spiritual growth.

Unlike a campus minister or a teacher who has the necessary and important responsibilities of teaching, lesson plans, grading, events, liturgies, etc., HN Missionaries, free of those responsibilities, are able to dedicate their time to students in a unique way. The sole mission of every HN missionary is to "awaken the world to the power of God’s love" through the “You’re Amazing” message and they are prepared to do that in your school.
