How to Make an Amazing Nation

With the election quickly approaching, more than ever we need an amazing nation! Many people are nervous about the outcome of this election. I believe that each and every one of us can help make an amazing nation, regardless of who gets elected into office, or how our country will change. Here are a few ways that I believe each and every one of us can do to help make an amazing nation.
It’s not about your stance, it’s about Jesus
Jesus is the only one who can make an amazing nation. Are you working every day to build a relationship with Him? If you focus on Jesus, and how he wants you to love other people, you will know that it’s not about your stance, it’s about Jesus. He loved the tax collectors, the sinners. He hung out with the outcasts. That didn’t mean he wasn’t convicted of truth – of course, he spoke the truth. But he was more about loving people than about their stance. That’s what we’re called to do!
Love No Matter What
This is a message that defeats so many of the issues we face as a nation. In order to have an amazing nation, we need to love no matter what! A few years ago, we created a hoodie (check it out here!) that says “Love No Matter What”. Guess what? It was quickly a top seller! People loved it, and it didn’t matter if they were religious or not, the message touched their hearts. It draws people in on a surface level, but the deeper meaning is that Jesus loves everyone no matter what. We need to do the same for others! It is by our example of love that people will listen to what we have to say.
Encourage those we disagree with
We will have an amazing nation when we encourage everyone we meet, even if we don’t agree with them. That’s “The Amazing” message! You’re amazing, regardless of what you believe. You’re amazing because that is who God made you to be. He didn’t create junk. We need to express that truth to everyone we meet. No matter someone’s political stance, the color of their skin, or choices they make, they are still amazing. They need to hear that from you. Imagine a nation where the dignity of each person is the first thing we thought about.
Listen to hearts, not the media
Get out on the streets, talk to people in line at the grocery store. Listen to people’s stories, who they are and where they came from. So many people in our nation are consumed by the media, and staying informed on social media. But is that reality? Media won’t create an amazing nation, relationships will. Spend less of your time-consuming media, and spend more time with people in your life. Get to know their likes and dislikes, who their mom and dad is, what they’ve been through, and what they are passionate about. If you do this, I guarantee that there will be more unity in our country.
Day by day we can do our parts. One day at a time, one person at a time. We are more powerful than we think we are because God created us AMAZING. He has a great plan and purpose for each of us. Make the choice today to join the #AmazingNation movement!
