Look at the Stars in the Sky

By: Missionary Team

“He numbers the stars, and gives to all of them their names.” Psalm 147:4.I have recently just been looking up at the night sky and just staring in awe at the stars. “God made all of these. God knows each one of these by name. God gave each star its own Guardian Angel!? How much more must God care about me?!” This is what I have been saying for a while now. Just looking at that and seeing God in it. Seeing how He planned the location of each star, the size, the brightness, everything! That is just amazing!

Interesting thing about the stars
The stars are indeed beautiful, but there is a great danger with them as well. Astronomy can become a god to people very easily. If you look at the stars and do not see the beauty of God because of them, you are not on the right track with your faith. Now I don’t mean to say this in a way that you're going to hell or something like that if you like to look up at the stars and whatnot, no! What I am saying is that we should look at everything and see God in it. In the stars at night, in the people around us. God made everything out of love. He made the stars with a purpose for His Divine Will, He made the seas with a purpose for His Divine Will, and above all, He made man in His own image and likeness. It is out of love that all takes place. I say again, God made everything, but how much mustHe care about us?

Since the beginning of time
God in His greatness and love wanted to share with something His love and might; that's why He created us, that's why He created the whole freaking universe! God loves us so much that He sent His only begotten Son into the world to die for us! That's freaking a ton of love! Even before creation, God had each and every one of us in mind, with all our talents, our quirks, our failings, our victories, everything. God had it all planned out. Isn’t God just the greatest? I would sit sometimes on my bed and just stare out the window and look at the trees in the yard and the green grass and would think, “Wow! Did God make all of this for me? God wanted me to share in His Creation, share in His Glory, share in His Love. Dadgum, God is so great!”

Just a little challenge
This is something that I challenge you to do reader: next time you look up at the stars, don’t look at them as a bunch of gas balls of light, but rather look at them as something that only God could create, out of His own goodness and might. Look up and just simply say, “Thank you, Lord God. Thank you for the stars, thank you for loving me, thank you for dying for me!” Take to heart that which I just enjoined on you, and I promise that if you praise God in all things, you will grow closer to Him, and His love for you will overflow your heart! God Bless peeps! Until next time.
