I had to come to an understanding that I couldn’t overcome this alone. I needed Jesus so badly. I came to him with all my struggles. I’d always pray to God to free me. He knew I was weak. I could never have done it without him.

Do you take good care of yourself? If you’re like most teens, self-care isn’t at the top of your mind. After all, your parents seem to take charge of your health care and encourage decisions that protect your well-being.

That is how someone who has Jesus in their life works. They find a way to win. Not on the field but in life.

I never really considered joining a gym. Earlier last week, I woke up knowing that I needed to do exactly that. God was leading me to it.

If we are willing to suffer and sacrifice for the body how much more should we be willing to sacrifice for the spirit?

There once was a doe-eyed teenager who had the world at her fingertips. Every ounce of her being existed for the sake of competition and teamwork. Every day of her life was filled with running, basketball, softball, and any other sport that was around. It was her existence.

I honestly thought that it was because when we did pushups or squats, I was always the first to fall. So every time I would mess up, Justin would say to me, “Christian on the line, SPRINT!” I would have to run.
