It has been said that “hurt people, hurt people”. This is so true. When someone is hurt and is trying to cope, they hurt people.

The heart of the matter is the heart. A feminine heart is what the world is in dire need of.

By our crosses, we learn to rely on God more fully.

For the longest time, I always assumed that chivalry meant a code that knights from stories like King Arthur and The Knights of The Round Table followed, but I foolishly thought that it was about little more than how to look stoic in a suit of armor and how to carry a big sword. After so much needed maturity, I came to discover that chivalry is more than knights, and is actually a way for men to live with dignity, giving of themselves selflessly to serve others.

It is important to know that death is not the end, only the beginning. Death is the pathway to eternal life. I know it is still hard, but God can always make good out of a bad situation, even death.

I rejected my friend’s view that optimism is somehow ignorance of suffering and that being joyful will pass when things get difficult enough. But what he said stuck with me and it came back most recently because things are happening in my life right now that are difficult, that bring tears to my eyes, and make my shoulders feel like I’m carrying a weight there. I mused on our conversation and decided to reconsider, think, look into my heart and see if he was right after all.

For me I didn’t want to confront this man. I was afraid, I didn’t think I would know what to say. God gave me the grace to have the courage and I was able to explain what the Catholic faith is really about.

but at the end of the day, it’s the encouragement and positive messages that are brought to the viewers. Here, I have compiled a list of the top five superheroes that I believe to be the most inspirational, not only to my life, but many others as well.

I wrote a thank-you to my coach thanking him for benching me my Junior year because during that season God revealed to me three reasons why He was letting it happen.

Were we giving our children a daily catechism lesson? Were we attending mass more than our Sunday obligation? Were we faithfully praying a daily rosary? The answer to all three of these questions was, “No”. But I also knew that just doing these things would not be enough

I had a good life; I was a good kid. But the battle I faced with depression filled me with shame. It was exhausting to pretend I was fine, joyful and the bubbly life of the party when I was really crying myself to sleep several nights a week.

When I encountered the story of Our Lady of Guadalupe, it was like I was hearing and seeing for the first time.

My whole life I’ve expected others to not let me down, for friends to be faithful, for them to understand me and want me in their lives. The problem is that’s not reality. It’s hard for me to accept, but the truth is that I let people down too.

That is how someone who has Jesus in their life works. They find a way to win. Not on the field but in life.
